The Hot Topics at DTW-Ignite 25

AI and B2B were the two of the hottest topics at the recent DTW-Ignite event in Copenhagen. AI was everywhere and the messaging and use cases are evolving from using AI to save money and increase efficiencies to how AI can help increase revenues by creating and selling new offers. At DTW-Ignite Qvantel covered off the two hottest topics at the event by showcasing how AI driven BSS can be used to enable CSPs to grow their B2B revenues.

It’s fair to say that for many CSPs B2B remains the biggest growth opportunity. Leading analyst firm Omdia have reported that B2B currently represents 40% of CSPs’ current revenues but 80% of their growth opportunities and have reported that B2B is “a trillion-dollar opportunity for those telcos ready to transform.” At DTW Qvantel showcased what is needed for BSS to enable this transformation to happen. These included a range of new features in Qvantel Flex BSS to enable CSPs to offer a wider range of beyond connectivity services to B2B customers. These include AI driven sales force automation (SFA), partner management, advanced configure, price, quote (CPQ), enhanced offer catalog supporting technology solutions, dynamic pricing, and project management for the deployment of complex technology solutions.

The demo that we created for the Catalyst project ‘Evolving to Full Network Autonomy’ showed how CSPs can open up new B2B revenues by selling guaranteed levels of connectivity, backed up with service level agreements (SLAs) by using an AI-driven BSS, an autonomous network and a digital twin.  This was an ideal way to show how CSPs can open new B2B revenues and use AI to create, sell and assure new offers.

As you can see from the photo below this demo got a lot of attention. This demo was non-stop all day with CSPs crowed three and four deep watching how AI-driven BSS can create and sell new B2B offers and enable CSPs to tap into the huge B2B opportunity.

In this Catalyst demo we showed CSPs how to use AI to help build offers using the B2B sales tool in Qvantel BSS which are then tested in a digital twin that is in the Nokia Digital Operations Centre. We showed how AI helps build business intent which contains details of the offer – for example we showed building a 5G slicing offer to support merchants’ EPOS (electronic point of sales) terminals at a F1 race. The business intent includes factors like number of devices, latency, speed, etc. We use AI in the B2B sales tool to help capture and refine the business intent, which is then passed via a TMF921 probe to be validated by the digital twin. This simulated the service usage and then sent a message back to BSS, so the sales rep can sell the EPOS terminal 5G slice offer to the F1 race organisers knowing that the service will work as expected. CSPs can then back this up with SLAs.

Once the offer went live we showed how the Nokia Digital Operations centre continuously monitored network performance to ensure that the SLAs were being met. If there were any service anomalies, AI suggested a corrective measure which, was then tested on the digital twin and automatically implemented to ensure SLA are being met.

There was a lot of excitement around the changes that AI is starting to make to CSPs, both in terms of efficiency gains and opening new revenue streams. This is happening in parallel to the changes they’re making to open the B2B market and sell a much wider range of ICT services – an increasing number of which are now featuring AI. At DTW-Ignite we were excited to be able to show how Qvantel is addressing the hottest topics in the industry right now.

Thanks to TM Forum for organising this event and providing a platform for collaboration and innovation with their Catalyst projects. See you there in 2026.
