Uzbekistan Operator’s Growth Strategy Built on a Foundation of Agile BSS and Monetization

Helsinki, Finland, 30 April 2024 - Qvantel, a leader in Digital BSS, today announced that it has been awarded a contract to supply Qvantel Flex BSS to Perfectum, an innovative new operator in Uzbekistan. Qvantel will work with their long-term partners, Nokia, to supply the joint digital 5G monetization solution.

Perfectum is deploying a 5G SA network from Nokia which is a strategic investment into the future of Uzbekistan. This aligns with government’s digital transformation strategy and will meet the increasing demand for high-speed connectivity and digital services in the region. By investing in 5G, Perfectum can offer a wide range of connectivity and digital services including remote working, telemedicine and smart city initiatives, as well as many new digital services, which will foster a digital ecosystem and drive growth in Uzbekistan.

“5G SA will enable Perfectum to offer differentiated services that will deliver meaningful change to consumers and businesses in Uzbekistan,” said Dmitry Shukov, CEO of Perfectum. “As well as having the fast network it’s important that our business can support all the new opportunities that 5G can deliver. I am delighted to work with Qvantel and Nokia as they will provide Perfectum with very agile BSS and monetization systems that will provide the foundation for Perfectum to grow.”

“Perfectum has a great opportunity to open up new markets and deliver new services and experiences to consumers and businesses,” said Varun Galande, CCO of Qvantel. “We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with such a visionary company as Perfectum who can see the potential of 5G SA and how the agility enabled by Qvantel Flex BSS can turn this potential into business value. The no/low code design of Qvantel Flex BSS will allow Perfectum to rapidly develop new offers and deliver the best customer experience possible and so provide the ideal platform for growth.”

“Nokia is pleased to work with Perfectum and Qvantel to enable strong, new network capabilities through 5G SA that further elevate the customer experience,” said Erez Sverdlov, Vice President, Cloud and Network Services Market Leader, Europe at Nokia. “Delivering innovative 5G customer offerings, like network slicing, securely, at scale, and with advanced operational efficiencies can only be done through 5G SA and new monetization models.”
