Qvantel Ltd. has signed a multi-year service agreement with DNA Business – the Corporate Business division of Finnish telecom operator DNA Ltd. Following the recently signed accord, Qvantel will execute all of the key business support system (BSS) solutions of DNA Business with Qvantel’s cloud-based services.

The business support solutions of DNA Business will be based on Qvantel’s latest generation BSS solution, which provides an open systems architecture to create improved future digital services and to innovate novel customer experiences. Qvantel’s solution enables, among others, a flexible solution for the management of products and services, the efficient management of the company’s ordering and delivery processes, and high-quality customer service and billing practices.

The agreement will help strengthen Qvantel’s position even further as the leading provider of cloud-based BSS solutions. Qvantel is a vanguard innovator in the BSS industry with its cloud service strategy, which helps operators offer their services competitively on a global scale.

“Qvantel’s new agreement with DNA shows not only how our customers trust Qvantel’s services, but also is a very important step in introducing Qvantel’s new solution generation to the market. Our chosen cloud service strategy increases the flexibility of Qvantel and our telecom operator customers, and the ability to adapt to market conditions. We are excited about being able to help our customers to be even more cost-effective and agile in terms of productizing their own services,” says Qvantel Ltd.’s Managing Director Liisa Grant.

Innovative solution expertise from Finland proved to be the best

“Extending co-operation with Qvantel gives DNA a more flexible model of co-operation, which is of paramount importance when responding to customers’ expectations and the current competitive situation. Moreover, we rely heavily on Finnish expertise,” says DNA Ltd.’s Chief Information Officer Janne Aalto.

Qvantel and DNA will implement an integrated solution in which DNA will concentrate entirely its main business support systems to Qvantel’s cloud-based solution.

The agreement is a significant expansion of the already existing cooperation between DNA and Qvantel with Qvantel’s role now growing to also cover the needs of DNA’s corporate business operations. DNA has utilized Qvantel’s cloud services in its consumer business operations since 2011.

“DNA’s good experiences with Qvantel as a system supplier helped us choose Qvantel as our key supplier over business unit boundaries,” Aalto says.
